The nature photos below contain some of my favorite images. They are the ones that fill my heart with joy, and I hope you have the same reaction.
When I photograph wildlife, I come prepared with a substantial telephoto lens. I strive to capture nature photos of my subjects behaving naturally. I do nothing intentionally to alter the behavior and strive to maintain a distance that is comfortable between the subject and me. All of the animals in my nature photos are wild, living in their natural habitats.

One of the things I cherish about nature photography is reviewing the images up close after the shoot and marveling over the brilliance of the patterns, textures and colors in nature. With wildlife I see the personality of the animal unfold; a sideways glance, smile, tenderness, look of curiosity and playfulness. I always discover something that I did not see with the naked eye. I continually learn that we have more in common than that which divides us.
